As people continue to assert that the world is getting less personal because we&#039;re all stuck on social networking websites, it&#039;s great to see that your Mom has found a way to reach out to people with a common interest that she wouldn&#039;t have been able to connect with any other way. 

My husband is a cancer survivor and now an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist, and has found that these networks really help keep family and friends updated on progress of treatment as well as needs of the family. I, too, have been floored with seeing my parents finally embrace the technology necessary to stay plugged in and have to say it&#039;s been pretty cool.
